Spiritual Counsel
Spiritual counsel focuses on an individual’s journey with God, beliefs and experiences, to promote personal growth, healing, and a deeper connection with oneself and God. The person who walks with you on this journey is ofetn called a spiritual director or spiritual companion.
It involves delving into the soul’s journey, as experienced through our everyday experiences and reflections. It aims to help individuals align their lives with their spiritual values and beliefs, fostering a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship with Jesus.
Seeking spiritual counsel is a tremendously constructive thing to do. Mulling over your relationship with God with someone who is skilled at drawing it out can help keep your journey with God in a healthy place. Many people seek spiritual counsel from time to time. Everyone should at one time or another. We all accumulate baggage as we walk through life and sometimes we need help to see where the hand of God might be guiding us. He is always closer than we think he is!
Nonetheless, the baggage we carry can move us away from God and each other. This is why spiritual counsel is so important to keep our spiritual journey on course.
